Town & Style Interviews Gratitude House Executive Director, Dr. Maggie Sullivan

By Bill Beggs, December 11, 2024

We are honored to be featured in Town & Style’s Notable Neighbors section, highlighting the mission and impact of Gratitude House—the first sober living home for women in St. Louis County.

At the helm of this transformation is Dr. Maggie Sullivan, our new Executive Director, who has relaunched Gratitude House with a bold vision—elevating it into a professionally run, strategically positioned, and financially sustainable organization. She brings extensive experience in nonprofit management, education, and empowering women. Under her leadership, we have developed stronger operational processes, enhanced marketing and outreach, and implemented a robust strategic plan for fundraising and long-term growth. Dr. Sullivan has also built an entirely new, powerhouse board of accomplished women—leaders in business, law, education, finance, and community advocacy—who are deeply committed to ensuring that women in recovery have the structure, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.

With 60% of people relapsing within a month after treatment, sober living is a game-changer—offering women stability, accountability, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Our all-female board, dedicated house manager, and thriving community ensure that women aren’t just surviving—they’re thriving.
